Our friendly safari team will welcome you at\u00a0Kilimanjaro Airport<\/strong>, and transfer you to Arusha. Arusha is the hub of Tanzania’s legendary Northern safari circuit and home to Mt Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara National Parks. Arusha is also one of the major coffee-growing regions in Tanzania.<\/p>\n

After breakfast, we meet our guide for a short briefing. \u00a0We head off to\u00a0Tarangire National Park<\/strong>, known as the land of giants – elephants and baobab trees. \u00a0The landscape is ironically African with open Acacia woodlands and Baobab trees scattered all over the area. It has the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem.<\/p>\n

Late afternoon we travel towards the local town of\u00a0Mto Wa Mbu<\/strong>\u00a0(Maasai for Mosquito Village \u2013 the only place in Tanzania which represents all tribes \u2013 120 ethnic groups). Bananas are the main export in the area, and there are over thirty species of banana in the village, including a red banana which we recommend you give a try! \u00a0We continue to drive up the\u00a0Rift Valley escarpment\u00a0<\/strong>to our lodge, perched on the edge of the Rift Valley with distant views over Lake Manyara.<\/p>\n

Day 3: Lake Manyara \/ Serengeti National Park<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

Our journey continues towards the misty\u00a0Ngorongoro highlands<\/strong>, passing on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater where we will stop for your first spectacular view of the Crater. \u00a0En-route you can opt to visit a Maasai Village near Ngorongoro Crater.\u00a0(The Maasai charge US$20 per person – for your account). \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

After bidding the Maasai farewell, our adventure now takes us to the\u00a0Central Serengeti\u00a0<\/strong>with en-route game viewing as we make our way towards the lodge. \u00a0The Central area encompasses the world-famous Seronera Valley, which is known for its prime wildlife-viewing opportunities.<\/p>\n

Day 6: Serengeti National Park \/ Ngorongoro Crater<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

We\u2019re in no hurry to leave and will spend most of the day in the Serengeti discovering more of what the Serengeti offers as we are slowly moving toward the park gate. \u00a0The Serengeti will leave you with images of vastness and breathtaking beauty and memories to re-telling and re-living long after your safari. Late afternoon drive to\u00a0Ngorongoro Crater<\/strong>\u00a0to overnight on the crater rim.<\/p>\n

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

Today we\u2019ll rise early morning to witness the\u00a0sunrise over the Crater<\/strong>\u00a0before enjoying an extended game drive along the Crater floor. \u00a0A steep entry track leads us\u00a0600m down<\/strong>\u00a0to the magnificent\u00a0Ngorongoro Crater floor<\/strong>\u00a0(referred to as the Garden of Eden). \u00a0The crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes, and springs to open grassland with fantastic wildlife. \u00a0We enjoy a\u00a0picnic lunch\u00a0<\/strong>with a last game drive en route to the access point followed by a short drive back to\u00a0Acacia Farm\u00a0<\/strong>(staying here allows us to spend most of our day in the Crater and avoid rushing back to Arusha – enhancing the safari experience)!!!<\/p>\n

Today we take it a little bit easier after a packed safari filled with endless memories and sightings. We enjoy a leisurely breakfast with some great Kilimanjaro coffee before\u00a0driving back to Arusha\u00a0<\/strong>where we stop at the Cultural Heritage Centre (for shopping for Tanzania art, memorabilia, and Tanzanites), and enjoy our\u00a0picnic lunch<\/strong>. Transfer to\u00a0Kilimanjaro Airport<\/strong>\u00a0for your onward flight home.<\/p>\n
